Mel Wagner, Jr.

Mel Wagner is the CEO for INDATEL Services, an evolving premier nationwide facility based Ethernet solutions provider offering superior connectivity from rural to urban America, building on the power of scale through its combined state-wide members/owners and service offerings. Joining INDATEL with the 2013 transition from a marketing consortium of INDATEL Group to the “for-profit” INDATEL Services, wholly owned by state-wide facility-based Network Members.

Mel is a Telecom industry veteran with 25 years of executive and management telecom experience in a wide array of roles with AT&T, Birch Telecom, Comcast Cable and AVID Communications. Beginning his telecom career with Southwestern Bell/SBC Communications in 1991 where he held management positions through their Executive Leadership Development Program in Finance, Commercial and Residential Sales & Service, Information Systems, Outside Plant. Mel is a leader that creates a team vision and operations efficiency while leveraging technology and partnerships.

A proud Emporia State University Alumni, located in Emporia, Kansas, Mel received a BS in Business Management and Computer Information Systems. An American farm boy raised in Northeastern Kansas; he enjoys working on the farm, fishing, watching Kansas City Royals baseball and traveling.
